Starting a Blawg!

1. Hi. I'm starting my 1L year at Robson Hall, Universtiy of Manitoba in september. As a result, I think it's somewhat important that I try to learn how to write a little bit and become to some extent involved in things that are, to some extent, related to the study and the practice of law.

2. The purpose of this blog is more or less to try to improve my writing by (hopefully) forcing me to write a little bit. Hopefully this blog should improve my research skills and help me keep up to date with things that are worth keeping up to date with.

3. I spent a very lazy hour reading over my old livejournal from the last few years. Some of the writing on there was appallingly bad, and some was actually great. My favorite thing about it was the numbering system for organizing posts. Kind of like every post is one of those "25 random things" of facebook fame. My least favorite thing about it was the often abysmal spelling and grammer and such. Apparently I didn't fully grasp the distinction between "your" and "you're" unil about two years ago. So, that said: if you are actually reading this and you notice a stupid mistake like that, please let me know.
